Project: Dog White-Line Woodcut
White-line woodcuts are a type of relief printmaking using one block of wood and no press. To begin, I carved my design into a woodblock, separating each shape. I taped my paper and block to the table, and filled each section at a time with watercolor, stamping the paper repeatedly until the image was complete. The final result is unique and rich, showing wood texture and areas where the watercolor pooled.
